Konami Digital Entertainment GmbH, publisher of the acclaimed PES 2009, has unveiled a special football skills challenge for all budding football stars on the game’s official website.
Overseen by professional football freestyler Billy Wingrove, visitors to www.pesunites.com are invited to upload videos of their best flicks, tricks and skills, with regular prizes given to the very best. Wingrove is widely regarded as one of the world’s most skilled freestyler’s and has toured the world, giving demonstrations of his incredible abilities in football grounds and on TV shows. Now, he has thrown down the gauntlet to PES and football fans across Europe, with new videos from other freestylers across Europe being uploaded on a regular basis. As of now, anyone is free to upload their own footage for the public to vote on. Exclusive prizes are waiting for the clip with the highest number of votes. Entering is simplicity itself, but only two people must appear in the clip, keeping in line with the theme that ‘PES unites’.
The promotion is part of Konami’s ongoing support for its PES 2009 title. Released for PLAYSTATION®3, PlayStation®2 and PSP® (PlayStation®Portable), PES 2009 is regarded as the most involving and intuitive football game around. It offers all the skills and pace of the modern game, hence it is the only title worthy of challenging Europe’s best players to show us what they can do!
